BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification)
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) is an email standard that allows organizations to display their verified logo next to authenticated emails in supporting email clients. BIMI requires strong email authentication (DMARC enforcement at p=reject or p=quarantine) and a validated logo file, giving recipients visual assurance of the sender's identity.
Requirements for BIMI
To use BIMI, you need:
- ●DMARC enforcement - Policy set to p=reject or p=quarantine (not p=none)
- ●SPF and DKIM - Both must pass and align with your From domain
- ●SVG logo - Your logo in SVG Tiny P/S format
- ●Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) - A certificate proving logo ownership (required by Gmail)
BIMI is supported by Gmail, Yahoo, Apple Mail, and Fastmail. It increases brand recognition and trust in the inbox.
